Had five separate discussions about God today, and they were all amazing :). I love connecting with people through conversations about God. I was talking to this one girl today who came to small group (bible study) for the first time. Her mom is Christian but her dad is Muslim so she’s been confused a lot. But the fact that she chose to check out small group and stayed several hours after to find more information about other prayer groups and the like…IT’S ALL THE GOOD WORK OF GOD!

I also had such a passionate convo with my school friend about how no matter how perfect we think our plans for ourselves are, they will NEVER be as perfect as God’s plans for us. Side note: fellowship is ahhhhhhhmazzzing*

ALSO, another testimony about how AMAZING God is: on Tuesday, as a christian club, we all prayed for a recently turned Christian who so badly wanted to go to an upcoming retreat but did not have permission from her Hindu parents. That very night, her parents consented, and she signed up immediately for the retreat on the evangelism track.

There’s constantly so much to be thankful for. I realize that my prayers are getting longer and longer every day because I am constantly discovering more things I am thankful for! God is good, all the time!

As I reflected upon the lyrics of this song, I realized that my character has so many flaws in it. I may face constant brokenness and weariness but the only thing that has been getting me through these days is my dependency upon God. 1 John 2:15-17 states: Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. God is the only one who has eternal impact on our lives; His word is eternal and stands firm. And this is exactly why I am worthless without Jesus in my life. There’s absolutely nothing worthy enough to boast about nor offer to anyone besides Jesus.

As I continue to sincerely pursue my walk with Christ, I hope I can understand the heart of God better. There’s beauty in every little thing in this world and I need to constantly acknowledge that all good things come from Him alone. There’s also so many blessings just in one day, yet my eyes are so blind to them which further shows my ignorance to God’s grace and how I take that for granted. As I slowly discover God’s character and attitude, I hope I can reflect Him through my behavior, words, and actions as well. I need to keep in mind the truth of who I am.
